• I was trying to install Wishlist Member plugin and right after activating the plugin, memory and CPU % climbed.

Looks like some PHP or Apache process is in infinite loop. I’m trying to find a way to kill the process and recover from this.

I tried rebooting VPS and renaming the root directory, but nothing works.

Can any one help? Site is down.

    Thanks.

Blog is hosted at Dreamhost and they suggested to place a blog restore request. I’m trying avoid that and find a way to kill the rouge process.

I’m experiencing essentially the samething. Dedicated server and apache causes the system CPU usage to sky-rocket.

Looking in the logs for the site, the servers IP is constantly reconnecting/refreshing the page.

    xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx – – [28/Apr/2010:09:13:32 -0500] “GET / HTTP/1.0” 200 0 “-” “WordPress/2.9.2; https://www.website.com”

Get a constant lost of the above paste from the log files.

any luck?? – I have the same exact problem! No answers.

it launches multiple apache/http threads and eventually crashes server.
