Void space i cant seem to solve + height and width help.

  • Hello, you can see in the picture i provided, a red rectangle with void space that i have no idea how to make it smaller. https://ibb.co/rfTJx6f

    plus, i want to lower the sub menu a little bit because its too high to the header.

    plus plus, how can i make the sub menu wide as the whole page?

    i tried through menu theme but i cant solve it.

    please help.

    Hi Cula,

    Under Appearance > Menus, hover over “????” and click the blue mega menu button. In the mega menu builder you will see you have 3 columns, each “3” wide (out of a possible 12). You’ll either need to add an empty column to the left of your existing columns, or expand your existing columns so that they are “4” wide.

    To make the sub menu full width go to Mega Menu > Menu Themes > Mega Menu and set the Panel Width (Outer) to:

    body

    1) i added another column to my submenu on the left side but now i get a void space on my left side and the whole submenu is way to the right.
    i want equal space on the left side and on the right side.
    The catagories needs to be in the middle of the submenu panel.
    can you help me with that?

    2) i tried to do what you recommended, writing body in the panel width,
    but sadly, it doesnt work well. my whole submenu start from the middle of the screen and ends somewhere over the screen so i cant see the whole menu. when i add 4th column, i can see all my categories but still it over laps the screen to the left and there is still void space on the left side.

    you can enter my site and see. i won’t change it so you can check.

    and how i cant lower the sub menu? its way too high. it overlaps my header.
    i want it to be exactly under the header. The starting line of the submenu need to be touching the lower line of the header.

    Hi cula,

    On the “????” item, please try setting the “Sub Menu Align” option to “Left edge of parent”. That should align the sub menu correctly with “body”. You can set the inner panel width to 1140px to bring the columns in from the edges.

    Moving the sub menu down is possible with the “Sub Menu – Vertical Offset” option in Custom Item Styling (in Pro): https://www.megamenu.com/documentation/item-styling/ (you will need to set the menu Event back to “Hover Intent” if you do this, to give the user time to move their mouse from the menu item to the sub menu before it disappears).
