• Like so many other multi-channel WooCommerce feed syndication plugins that I have come across, they waste 2,000 words describing how awesome they are, as if they are a free plugin/service.

Then, at the very bottom, in the frequently asked questions (which are hidden by default until you click on them) they reveal that they are only free up to 50 products…I will be there are other limitations as well, or data harvesting or some other shady behavior.

As far as I’m concerned, paid/premium plugins should be upfront about that from the outset, not act like they are free and tout how awesome they are, in hopes you invest your time and effort setting them up and configuring them only to find the nasty surprise that those features that they touted so highly are reserved for people that pay a monthly subscription fee.

To be clear, it is not that they charge a fee for good software that I disagree with, it is concealing that fact that is crappy.

Concealing the charges in an ecosystem of free and open source software is shady and parasitic, IMHO.

If your product was that awesome, you wouldn’t need to conceal the cost.

Hi Adam, we are sorry if you got the wrong idea from the plugin description.

You see, this plugin is intended for small businesses to get up and running. I think it’s safe to say that about 50 free products are enough for many small businesses who are starting out. And once they start making money, I’m sure it won’t be a problem to invest in the pro plugin.

End of the day, we all need to make money to keep supporting & updating the product, and there is no issue charging for something that you’re getting value in return.

But we have no intention to misguide you into spending money whatsoever.

In fact, we did not intend to hide any facts about the plugin. The way we see it is that if someone comes to a plugin page, rather than downloading it from within WordPress, then they want to know if the plugin is capable of providing the solution required.

So in the description area, we did not say anything about what is free or what is pro. We rather focused on trying to convey what the plugin can help you out with. Then we kept a section for the Free features and another section for the Pro features where we did mention that the free version allows up to 50 products’ feed generation.

However, we sincerely apologize for the confusion. We will take your note and try to update our description so that this confusion doesn’t arise in the future.

Having said that, we would really appreciate it if you would give the plugin another chance.

We know the plugin is good, and we have a great support team to help you get over any confusion. I’m sure if you try it out one more time, you won’t be disappointed.

And I would appreciate it if you would re-conder your rating based on the overall performance of the plugin, rather than just the pricing issue.

I hope you understand. Do let me know what you think.

    Thanks.
