5.6.1 Clean Install Won’t send change email verification

  • I have made a clean install of 5.6.1 on my local environment.
    I’ve install Check Email plugin that successfully sends any email to givem email address.
    Also some recent versions (5.2.x) of WP send email correctly from same environment

    However, clean install of 5.6.1 will send emails via php function mail(), but won’t send emails while Changing Administrative email.

    Why so ?

    On my clean test site, it works. So it’s not a 5.6.1 thing in and of itself. More likely, the mail fell into spam or there’s a conflict with some plugin.

    There is no plugin installed – clean version
    if i just enter in php a simple mail() function it works
    Change verification of administrative wont work

    And i surely checked spam folder many times.
    It has to be something with exactly verification proccess
