When a visitor clicks a page attachment or link they are taken out of the story. Is there way to get them back into the story if they want?

Or, should we assume and understand that when someone leaves a story, they probably are not coming back to it, so we should be very strategic in how we use page attachments and links?

  • Hello @terrymiddleton,
Links in stories must open in a new tab to adhere to the Web Stories format, indexed, and eligible in Search. To return to the story, users need to navigate back to that window.

The location and frequency of your links should be well thought out because too many tappable elements can complicate navigation for users.

Note in our roadmap, there are plans to add embedded page attachments that would look something like this.

    Hope this helps.
