Widgets in Sidebar 2 Disappeared and/or move to Sidebar 1 automatically

    When I logged in this morning, some of my Sidebar 2 widgets either disappeared or moved to Sidebar 1.

    I can still see them as correctly placed in the admin-area for widgets though…this may have coincided with the upgraded to the latest version I’d been resisting.

    Any ideas?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
