    Hello there,

You can change back your default language to English and everything should go back to normal.
All translations done with TP are saved string by string in the wp_trp_* tables from your database. Changing the default language will create new wp_trp_* tables, but it won’t delete the old ones.

Also, the reason why you lost the translations is because of the newly generated tables. TP expects that all the content on your site is in the language that you set as the default one, so if you want French to be your default language, you will have to re-write all your content in French (otherwise TP won’t work as expected).

You could set the language in which your site is first accessed (it won’t change your default language) using this method: https://translatepress.com/docs/frequently-asked-questions/ (Section How do I change the Default Language ?)

I’m not sure why you lost your Language Switched in Menu, but setting it up again won’t be that hard: https://translatepress.com/docs/settings#language-switcher

    Best regards,
    Cristian
