Archives Question

  • Can anyone tell me how archiving works. What detirmines when a post goes into an archive? Is this a variable that the admin can control?

    The post automatically goes into the archive as soon as it’s published, you can’t control that. What you can control, however, is the amount of posts displayed on the front page. Look for that option in Options/Reading.

    I see. So the archiving is not controlled by any time element but simply by how many of the most recent postings are allowed to display? Makes sense. Thanx for the info.
