I think that this is a theme problem. Briefly, I tried to download the new version of WP (2.9.2.)and found that I needed to upgrade to a newer server within the same company. This was carried out, and although I made an error doing this, it eventually appeared to be working fine and I have posted two new images since.

However, before moving to the new server I had a problem with my archive page. https://www.coppercoastworkshops.com/minimalistics/archive in that the category (or date) drop-down menu shows only the latest thumbnail image, rather than the whole category of pictures that it used to show. (I hoped downloading the new WP version would fix it)

That problem is still there and since going live again I have two more. If I click the thumbnails of either of the last two posts on Archive page, I just get the thumbnail on their own. Also, if I click on an image on the Home page, whereas it used to load the previous image, it now just moves the same image around the page. NB because the blog is on a new server, the path to the last two images has changed from those of earlier postings.

I am very much a newbie in blog software, so is this kind of problem fixable or would it would be better to download a fresh copy of the theme again. And if I do that, would I get more problems?

If someone could point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks….george

Great news…I’ve sorted out the problem of the dropdown menus on the archive page by re-adjusting the Custom Query String. And I’ve also figured out the cause of the problems in paragraph 3, but not how to stop it. It seems that each time I post the main and thumbnails, each image is listed with two pathways eg…

    <img src=”https://www.coppercoastworkshops.com/minimalistics/112X.jpg” alt=”” title=”112X” width=”99″ height=”150″ class=”alignnone size-full wp-image-2203″ />‘

The ‘<img src=”https://www…’ part is correct and ‘<ahref=”https://www…’ wrong. And I’m not sure if it’s relevant but the post usually entered the image number in alt=”” which it’s no longer doing.

I’ve checked the path under tools->miscellaneous and it’s correct, so I’m at a loss to work out this problem. Has any one any ideas what it might be.

    Many thanks…George

    Sorry path above should read…

    Put this in code tags.

Weird, seems that each time I print the code it removes part of it on posting to the forum!

Anyway each posting path (above)is also prefixed by

    Hope it works.

It won’t work unless you use code tags. Highlight the code you want to insert and click the ‘code’ button on the toolbar above the edit box.
