Validation update with address change?

    Hi there,

    Is it possible to update the need for the validation message after the address is updated in the checkout? I have a rule that works but if i change the address and it should disappear, it doesn’t remove unless I reload the page (and the opposite is true…if an error message based on a shipping zone doesn’t trigger due to the address entered initially…but then I update the address matching the rule…nothing; unless I reload the checkout page)

    Hi,

    Unfortunately this is not how the plugin works. If you’d like to remove the notice at a given moment it would have to be done through a code snippet.

    I figured ??
    However that means your validation messages won’t work based on shipping method when the user enters their address once in the checkout right?
    Any direction on how to trigger a notification removal or retriggering when the address is changed?

    Hi,

    I’m not sure what you mean there. The validation is done based on the user input, executed after the ‘Compelte order’ button has been pressed, so its based on the latest entered/selected values (address/method etc).

    The triggers should be done with javascript, though I don’t have anything ready to for something like this.
