    Hi,

I recently noticed that my web stories are no longer showing up as valid when I run them through the AMP test. I can’t figure out how to fix this. We tried manually inserting the coding but it didn’t work.

Here is the message I get:
    Validation issues
The mandatory text inside tag ‘noscript > style[amp-boilerplate]’ is missing or incorrect.
    1 instance
    Line 6:6464
    <style amp-boilerplate=””>body{-webkit-animation:none;-moz-animation:none;-ms-animation:none;animation:none}body{-webkit-animation:none!important;anim

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Thanks! @luckynasan I just did that.

@julianne444 Thanks for sending it! I ran this story through the AMP Test tool and this snippet body{-webkit-animation:none!important;animation:none!important} incorrectly inserted in between <noscript></noscript>. Was this the manual addition you mentioned earlier? If so, could you remove this?

If possible, could you disable all other plugins and see if this issue occurs when only Web Stories is enabled?

We will continue to investigate further as well.

Hi, I’m sorry for the delayed response. I tried to find this coding on my website and I couldn’t fin it. I’m not very tech savvy. Any idea where it is or how I can find it?

@julianne444 Thanks for following up. You mentioned:

We tried manually inserting the coding but it didn’t work.

What did you insert? If you didn’t manually insert that code, it’s possible the snippet body{-webkit-animation:none!important;animation:none!important} is being injected by another plugin. To test this, is it possible for you to temporarily disable and re-enable plugins/theme one-by-one to find out which one it could be? Are you able to test Web Stories alone to see if there are any issues?

We tried adding the code but when that didn’t work we just replaced it with the original coding (that we had saved). I could try manually disabling some plug-ins, but others I need to keep my website running.

But if I could just find this code you mentioned, maybe I could fix it.

But the problem is that I don’t know where to find it on my website. There is a lot of coding…

This is what I see when I run it through the AMP Validation tool:

    Validation issues
The mandatory text inside tag ‘noscript > style[amp-boilerplate]’ is missing or incorrect.
    1 instance
    Line 6:6358
    <style amp-boilerplate=””>body{-webkit-animation:none;-moz-(…)

And then if I click on Learn More, it sends me here:

@julianne444 Thanks for the update and your patience in resolving this.

Could you possibly install the AMP plugin to check if it helps with the issue?

Ensure your AMP settings are like this for AMP to only work to Web Stories.

    (@julianne444)

I tried that, but it didn’t work and actually made another error. The AMP plugin is also not recommended for my theme, so I’d rather avoid it if possible. But thanks for the suggestion!

@julianne444 the offending code body{-webkit-animation:none!important;animation:none!important} is being added within the style tag that is from Simple Social Icons. Although the code may not be coming from Simple Social Icons, perhaps you can try uninstalling then reinstalling that plugin in hopes a clean install may remove it. Note you will need to re-add your social icons afterward.

If possible, could you please give that a try?

Thanks for the idea. I tried that but it, unfortunately, didn’t work.

@julianne444 Do you perhaps have another site you can test on with Web Stories alone and a default WordPress theme?

@julianne444 Hey there! I noticed there are no longer validation errors on your story so I will mark this topic as resolved. Do you mind sharing what changes you made to resolve these errors?

Yes! Sorry, I meant to write to let you know it was fixed. I had someone take care of it for me. He had done some work to improve my site speed a few weeks ago, and although he said his work didn’t affect the AMP validation, he also didn’t charge me for fixing it, so… Anyway, I realize that isn’t very helpful, but the issue is resolved.
