Unique OrderNumber after clicking [Send]

    I am thinking of including a unique ordernumber on the ‘Orderform’ -using Contact Form 7- on site of the brewery were I am a volunteer.

    The requirements of ordernumber:
    The ordernumber should be added to de contact form AFTER clicking on the [Send]-button.
    The ordernumber-field is usable to de mail-tab of the contact form in the header and also possible elsewhere in de body of the mailform.
    This ordernummer needs a prefix (f.i. ‘AVB21’ = abriv. of the brewey and 21=year) and a required startnumber (f.i. 0001) which can be reset.

    I hope you understand what I mean.

    Is this feature possible to make in the recent version of Contact Form 7 (5.3.2)?

    Contact Form 7 provide the [_serial_number] special mail tag (requires Flamingo installed and activated)

    I’m glad there is a simple solution.
    I’ve tried it straight away.

    I couldn’t find any possibilities for options of this tag for f.i. the amount of digits or a reset to a startnumber.
    But for now it’s a good alternative for my request.

    I’m glad to know that it works for you!

    The [_serial_number] special mail tag doesn’t provide options yet, but you may also try this third-party plugin extension: Contact Form 7 Serial Numbers

    There is a great extension that allows you to count the submissions of each form on your website separately.

    This is a screenshot of the screen where you can check the number of submissions for each form (located in Dashboard > Settings > Contact Form 7 Serial Numbers):

    There is only a point to take into consideration: The plugin has not been updated for a long time, although I confirm that it still works.
