Lost All Sermon Handout File Links After Latest Update

It’s a bug. Not sure how long it will take for them to fix it, so you can download 2.15.15 here: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/sermon-manager-for-wordpress/advanced/

Just delete the current version and FTP the older version. No harm done, your data will be fine.

Thanks Mike very much. I downloaded the 2.15.15 but I am still not too clear the exact steps to downgrade. Sorry for misunderstanding but have neve done the procedure before. Don’t want to do the wron thing and thanks.

It’s a zip file, so you’ll need to Extract the files. Not sure what program you use to extract zip files, but there should be an “Extract To” someplace. It’s fine to extract it where you downloaded the zip file.

Once you’ve done that you need to FTP the file(s) to your plugins folder which is usually wordpress/wp-content/plugins. Once you’ve done that you can go to your plugins and activate it.

Mike, would I do this? In FTP client, delte the sermon-manager-for-wordpress folder and then upload the folder containing the 2.15.15 files from my desktop that I extracted from the downloaded zip files? Thanks for your help again.

Yes, but you can also delete it from your WP Plugins.

Should I deactive plugin first before delting. Then, after ftp old version, I need to activate and thanks.

Yes, deactivate, then delete. Not sure if you can just delete without deactivating anyway.

Yes, once new version is deleted, FTP the old and active.

Yes. Good to know. For some reason, was not getting email notify of your responses so missed your detailed response above. Now I have reread thread and see it. Anyway, maybe others are helped with this too. Very important procedure to know in case rollback of update is needed. Thanks again.

I just updated to 2.16.5 and got the same result: all existing bulletin and sermon note fields are gone! Very frustrating.

Yeah but you can only roll back to 2.15.15 which was released ages ago. All of the versions released since then are not available on the Advanced View page for some reason.
