    From Yesterday, we are seeing a lot of requests for our sitemaps in our access.log which resulting in an increase in CPU usage. As we digged into the issue, we found that W3Total Cache as User Agent is requesting it. How can we stop such cron jobs? We are getting lot of request to our sitemap. Please respond it ASAP.

    Hello @manojmohandev

    Thank you for your inquiry and I am happy to assist you with this.
    W3 Total Cache requests the sitemap if the Cache Preload is enabled. The cache preload depends on a sitemap and it’s requested in the time interval (depending on settings in Performance>Page Cache>Cache Preload).
    So you should either increase the Update interval or disable the Cache Preload.
    Thanks!

    @vmarko,

    Thanks for the information. We were using cache preload feature earlier also but didn’t got the sitemap request as we are getting now. Any idea for the reason that. Any changes in the configuration that could have resulted into such issue.

    Hello @manojmohandev

    Nothing has been changed in the plugin when it comes to Cache Preload.
    The only thing possible is that you’ve changed the update interval or the number of pages increased.
    Also, if you are on shared hosting the resources are limited.
    The solution is to delete all files in the cache folder or disable the cache preload or try increasing the update interval.
    Thanks!

    @vmarko,

    We have found the root cause of the issue. There was some issue with CDN rather than the plugin. Thanks for your valuable support.
