    Dear,

I run into this common error. I created an account, installed Site kit and was able to connect it. However, I keep receiving this message in my dashboard: Analytics data is not yet available, please check back later.

On my analytics account I see that nothing is tracked (I tested visiting the site on multiple devices but no tracking).

I must miss something. Any help?

    Much appreciated.

    Lennart

  • I faced the same issue. My Analytics not working properly for the whole day.

Site Kit shows me this error:

Quota Error: Number of recent failed reporting API requests is too high, please implement exponential back off. See developer documentation for details at ***

Google Analytics doesn’t show any data. Just blank pages.
    And this error:

Resource is not available. Please try again later.
One or more of the services on which we depend is unavailable. Please try again later after the service has had a chance to recover.
    Error ID: b6700a61-aef5-4580-97f3-e10e016ff7b1

What’s going on? Any idea how to fix this?

@lennartt91 If you’d like to share your site URL I can confirm everything is setup as it should be, by checking for the Site Kit placed Analytics snippet.

Note also that the notice is normal if you’ve just setup Analytics on this site, there needs to be sufficient data in order for the dashboards to populate, it may just be a matter of waiting.

@vitalyfischer I suspect this was a temporarily notice. Can you check whether this is still occurring? If so please open a new support topic and state whether the same occurs when disconnecting the Analytics module and connection once more (Site Kit > Settings > Connected Services > Analytics > Disconnect)

Thanks for sharing! As you’re using what looks like a coming soon plugin or feature your site is not yet being tracked. Once you have your site live and ready to report on data will start being collected, at which point your Analytics dashboards can then populate.

Let me know if you have any further queries on this and I’d be happy to help. You can also open a support topic if you encounter the same notice once your site is live.

@jamesosborne Thank you for answer. This has probably to do with WP Maintenance mode. At the set up of Site Kit I got a message that a plugin might caused problem. After deactivating the plugin the message disappeared, indicating it should work. But no data yet (I connected yesterday).

For now I deactivated the plugin WP Maintenance mode. Still no data arrives. Would you be able to check the situation now, since WP maintenance mode is deactivated?

Much appreciated James! Support and reaction speed is great so far!

No problem, and you are correct in relation to the Maintenance mode plugin. I’ve checked your site now and I can see the Site Kit placed Analytics snippet.

Let’s check your site in a few days to ensure the Analytics dashboards do popular, I can keep this support topic open in the meantime, while following up with you early next week.

There is a problem with the connection between the plugin and Google – I have no data, no stastics showing in the plugin – everything worked this morning.

@norhwiz There was a particular Analytics issue which impacted some users reporting earlier today, this may have been the case with your own site. This is independent of instances whereby the Analytics code doesn’t appear on a users site.

If you’d like to open a support topic we can certainly look into your case and hopefully determine what may be occurring.

@jamesosborne Thanks! “The Site Kit placed Analytics snippet” is a good thing, right? Do I understand it correct that we just wait now?

    (@jamesosborne)

You are correct, Site Kit has placed the Analytics snippet on your site. It’s just a matter of waiting for sufficient data to be collected before your dashboards will populate. Usually this isn’t longer than a few days, but all looks good from inspecting your site.

Amazing reaction and very helpful @jamesosborne

Because I didn’t receive data I even removed my first Google Analytics account and tried it again. I’m glad to hear that it looks good so far. We’ll wait and see.

    Thanks again James!

Exactly, we’ll check in a few days! I’ll keep the support topic open for now to ensure the plugin and reporting is working as expected. In the meantime keep your site live and don’t made any modifications to your existing Analytics configuration within Site Kit.

    @jamesosborne Gotcha!

    (@lennartt91)

Site Kit now shows data for Google Analytics!

On my own Analytics account (if I go there via the web browser) I didn’t see any information. While via Site Kit it showed info.

If I clicked Analytics next to Source (on Site Kit) it opened a new window of analytics with information on Google Analytics.

A few moments later if I went to Google Analytics manually via typing it in the browser, it suddenly showed details.

A few hick-ups but it all seems to work now.

Thank you for helping out @jamesosborne

Is it ok to leave the topic open and I get back to it later do today? Then I can draw a final conclusion as things seem to be able to change quickly sometimes. If it’s all still good later today we can close this topic and I’ll open a new topic in case something happens.

    Thanks again @jamesosborne
