How to make global updates?

  • I just installed Echelon. On the WP page it says that if you update the layout, it updates everywhere that layout is used. However, this is not working for me. I created a layout, then inserted that layout into a page, and customized the lorem ipsum in that location. When I make CSS adjustments to the layout, the changes do not push through to the page where the layout is installed.

    Do you have documentation explaining how to make global updates by modifying a layout? Is there a step that I’m missing? Or can you not make global changes by modifying the layout once the inserted version has been modified at all (e.g. changing the fake text to real text)?
