When the voucher is received by email, images and graphic elements are eliminated from email clients and not displayed. Even if these are displayed by some email clients such as Thunderbird, they cannot be printed. Most of the printer settings are set to suppress background images when outputting email or browser content by default.
I have not found a way to enable a customer to print out a voucher with the required quality.
The main purpose of a gift card plugin is to create professional looking coupons.
The quality and professional appearance of a voucher is the company’s calling card. If the voucher looks sloppy, unformatted and devoid of graphic elements, how can a customer have confidence in the quality of the products they have bought with the voucher?
The only solution is to provide the customer with a pdf or jpg file for printing.
I ask for your comments and suggestions for a solution.

We don’t have a PDF generator built into the plugin directly, however we are considering adding a PDF option to the plugin. If you would like to be notified when this feature is available, email [email protected] and we will add you to the list.

In the meantime, you can fully program the gift card email if you have a developer who can integrate this for you. We use the built in WooCommerce email template system. To override the email you should copy this file:

    /wp-content/plugins/pw-woocommerce-gift-cards/templates/woocommerce/emails/customer-pw-gift-card.php

To here (you may need to create the subfolders if they do not exist in your theme folder):

    /wp-content/themes/<your-active-theme>/woocommerce/emails/customer-pw-gift-card.php

Most likely the PDF option will be a feature of the Pro version only. www.ads-software.com doesn’t allow supporting Pro plugins using their forums so I am marking this thread as resolved. If you have further questions about this feature please contact us at our website: https://www.pimwick.com

    Thanks for understanding!

    ThanThanks for the feedback.
Only this does not solve the problem that the voucher is not correctly displayed in the received email depending on the email client, nor is it possible to print it out on paper so that the customer can physically pass the voucher on.

If you buy a product you can expect that the basic functions will work and you don’t have to hire a programmer to make it work.
