• I installed this plugin twice after reading the replies from the developers on one-star reviews because they allude to the claim of lack of functionality on the free version as being false and damaging.

After my second install, I can confirm that the free version is deceptive in its claims. I find the description of the plugin to be pretty deceptive, and can confirm that once installed I got this:
“The free version of NS Cloner only works on WordPress Multisite. For cloning to and from single sites, check out NS Cloner Pro.”

So I’m sure some developer is going to be all “yes but”, but that’s just not good enough.

The description mentions in its last paragraph that it’s not likely to be what the user wants and that you’ll have to pay a lot for what you’re actually trying to achieve.

My gripes are with the attitudes of the developers in replies to people who have been misled the same way I have today.

You can write a decent plug-in, apparently, so why don’t you write a less deceptive description and save everyone the time.

TLDR: I installed this twice to prove it was as useless as it turned out to be.

    Hi @colinquinn,

Not sure how you have been misled? Our language is very clear as to what the Free version offers versus what the Pro version offers.

Can you let us know what it is you were trying to do with the Free version that didn’t work?
