• I just updated the plugin. Then, when I try to configure my first course with the WooCommerce Addon, I receive the following error message:

“There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

Learn more about debugging in WordPress.”

Please advise on how to fix this. I need the proper steps to set up the course as a paid product, available in our shop. Thank you.

    Hi @sisterhoodagenda

    Thanks for using my plugin!

Do you know what the reported error is? If you can paste that here, it will help me troubleshoot the issue.

As described in the first FAQ of the plugin:
At this time, the plugin is developed to only modify emails sent for the default WooCommerce “product” post type.

Unfortunately I cannot guarantee my plugin will work with every possible WooCommerce add-on, because many of them have been written to use their own method of sending emails, outside of the normal WooCommerce methods.

I provided the cut and paste error message and can send a screenshot:

“There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

Learn more about debugging in WordPress.”

I simply selected “details” for the plugin when I received the error message. The plugin will not allow me to do anything else.

@sisterhoodagenda – thank you but I was asking what that email says when it is delivered to your site admin email inbox… usually it has the full error code to tell you what is breaking. Please copy/paste the actual error code here so I can further troubleshoot.

    Thanks!

I did NOT receive the email that you referenced.

@sisterhoodagenda – ok the next place to look would be on your hosting server.

If you use CPanel, you should be able to look at the PHP Error Logs. The most recent error should tell you what happened.

I need the error to know where to look — without knowing the exact error code, we’re taking shots in the dark and guessing what the problem is.

Okay, thank you for the insight. Here are the error logs:

    thanks so much @sisterhoodagenda !

It doesn’t look like any of those error pertain to the “Woo Custom Emails Per Product” plugin — the top error is just saying how you had a problem installing LearnDash.

If you look through the logs, are you able to see anything related to this plugin? You’re looking for anything logged showing the folder: /plugins/woo-custom-emails-per-product/

Sorry for the runaround but thanks for helping out!

This is all I have besides a screenshot of the error.

Sorry @sisterhoodagenda – I don’t have much to go on here to find the problem.

Perhaps you’ve found an incompatibility with another plugin — if this functionality is crucial, I’d recommend disabling this plugin for now and finding a paid plugin for your needs.

If you need this plugin to work, the next steps for troubleshooting would be to disable all your plugins one at a time until you find the one causing the incompatibility. There’s a plugin helpful for this task: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/

Thanks again for trying out my plugin!
