    Hello!

I am using Autoptimize and Fast velocity minify on my blog. When running a PageSpeed test on Google, one of the blockers is unused JS (https://www.ruokaonvalmis.com/wp-content/cache/autoptimize/js/autoptimize_97080b855e50486944e49befd03b754e.js), so I tried to add to the Remove JavaScript Scripts box in FVM the file, which helped increase the score on Google by 20 points more or less (up to 65 / 70 even). When doing this, the menu button on mobile broke (it does not work when clicked) and the icons next to author/ date/etc are not showing anymore. Removing the js script from the box fixes the issue but of course, decreases the score notably.

    Any fix to this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Plugin Author Optimizing Matters

    (@optimizingmatters)

The autoptimized file is the combination of all your theme & plugin’s JS, if you remove that you remove (almost) all JS, which cannot but break stuff on your site ruokaonvalmis. Autoptimize itself does not have logic to remove unused JS, but you could try e.g. “plugin organizer” or “asset cleanup” to remove some of the cruft?

    hope this helps,
    frank
