    Hi there,
I’m working with custom post types and taxonomies (with Custom Post Type UI plugin). For my purpose I’ve created a custom post type with its category custom name (family) and 4 different custom tag groups.

I understood how to show the custom category and custom tag but I can’t show, or I don’t know how to show tags.

I think because the default wordpress structure for posts concern one kind of category and on kind of tag.

But in my case I have 4 different tag groups.

Do you think there is a way to adapt the plugin to show also them?

    thank you

    Paolo

    Hi Paolo

I am not familiar with that mentioned plugin.
So, if it works depends on how it is written. My plugin is created for “vanilla” WordPress, not for custom code. Yes it can be adapted, but depending on how the other plugin works it can be a lot of custom work to achieve this.

A custom category is no issue, but custom post type.. it depends on how custom:)

First find out what Taxonomy is in use. Have a look in the FAQ under “How to see Taxonomy name used in Post?” Then use the shortcode to show tag/category and include “taxonomy=” with the taxonomy name you′ve found.

Give it a try, it might work

ps, have a look at their “Custom Post Type UI Extended”, I only looked at it briefly but I think their paid plugin does what you′re after.
