Beware, when you activate it – re-orders your posts to it’s strange order. I never found away to move a post from page 2 to page 1 in the standard WP pagination. I would be very careful with this if you have already ordered your posts beyond page 1 ….
It’s ok dragging inside WP pagination, i.e. moving up and down page 1 page 2 etc ..
but the re-order on activation costs me 1 hr ??

@metanoia77 I’m not involved with this plugin at all, but I wanted to point out that I think your issue isn’t with the plugin itself but how you have your admin set up. Your issue will be solved if you don’t have multiple pages, but all of your pages appear on page 1. The solution is to adjust the number of posts displayed in your screen options (top right, just under your name the admin bar). “Number of items per page” is probably set at 20, the default. Set it at 99 or whatever number gets all of your posts on page 1 and then you’ll be able to order as needed.

    Hello @metanoia77,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
We are really sorry to hear you’ve had trouble with the plugin, but appreciate your candid feedback and I will address each point below in order.

Beware, when you activate it – re-orders your posts to it’s strange order.

Can you please let me know how it ordered them after activation? The plugin shouldn’t change the order randomly once it’s active. To explain: in the back-end posts are ordered by date, and the plugin does not change a post’s date – so activating it wouldn’t do anything. The plugin uses menu_order to order posts which is not used by WP for sorting.

    And

I never found away to move a post from page 2 to page 1 in the standard WP pagination.

Yes, at the moment there is not a way to move a post from page 1 to page 2, however, as @johnny_n explained above (thank you!), you can adjust the number of posts displayed in your screen options so you can change their order, and then change it back to 20 posts per page.
I understand what you mean though, and we do have this feature on our roadmap – we hope to implement it soon.

Thank you again for your honest review and I hope you’ll try the plugin again down the road.

    Respectfully,
    Mihaela
