Vimeo video and preview images don’t load on Divi

  • Hey, gang…

    Using Divi here. This plugin works brilliantly for YouTube videos, but I can’t get Vimeo to load. The upper right video area is just blank (no video, no preview image, and it doesn’t show the title if you roll over it like the others).

    There’s an error showing in the code where the video should be:
    Video can't be loaded because JavaScript is disabled

    The Vimeo video is private but embedding on this domain is allowed.

    Can anyone please help?

  • Just curious if you’re trying to use this within Divi Builder built pages, or just on regular Classic or Gutenberg edited pages.

    I found it works on Classic or Gutenberg edited pages, but it actually breaks the Divi Builders own Video module used elsewhere, which is unfortunate.

    So there’s definitely a conflict with Divi on at least one level, if not more.

    I also have a problem with a Divi website and a page that offers different videos. One works fine when I click on it, the others don’t: The videos don’t start.

    Another DIVI user here. Are there any tips on getting this plugin to work?
    I’m using standard Divi video modules with the overlay option.
    I just installed this plugin for the first time, clicked the UPDATE POSTS button, cleared caches, and now my videos don’t play – clicking the overlay image does nothing (otherwise, the page looks the same).
    I wonder if we need to use the standard youtube embed code in a code module?
    EDIT
    Deactivating the plugin, I then needed to clear caches for the page to display overlay images again (and then the videos played as normal).
