    Hi,
On my woocommerce product pages I tried to use a shortcode to display customer reviews.

But it’s not showing anything with [cusrev_reviews] shortcode.

I tried with the [cusrev_all_reviews] shortcode and then it works and display reviews of all products.

Do you know why I can’t use only product reviews with [cusrev_reviews] shortcode ?

    Thank you for your help.

    Thanks for trying our plugin!

Are you using some bespoke tool/plugin to customize layout of WooCommerce product pages?

    Thank you for your answer.

No I’m using Elementor pro to build my pages, that’s all.

    Thanks for providing additional information.

Elementor is a bespoke tool to customize layout of WooCommerce product pages. It doesn’t provide information about the product ID for the [cusrev_reviews] shortcode that is normally provided by any official WooCommerce theme. This is why it doesn’t work.

Elementor created their own widget for reviews. Can you please try to use it instead?

So your plugin is not compatible with Elementor ? ??

I don’t want to use another tool now that all reviews of my past orders has been collected in your plugin …

Elementor widget for reviews (included in Elementor pro) is just a setup to write by yourself some reviews, not to include the “real” customers reviews.

Did you have any other idea of how I can display the reviews on my product pages ?

    Thank you for your help.

    Thanks for providing additional information.

We installed “Astra” theme and “Elementor” plugin on our test site but could not reproduce the problem you reported. After we add “Shortcode” widget from “Elementor” and then insert [cusrev_reviews] shortcode in there, it displays a block with reviews for the produce. So, I’m confused about your explanation.

To proceed with troubleshooting, please share detailed steps how to reproduce the problem and illustrate each step with a screenshot.

we are using astra and elementor and we may also have this similar issue but with this shortcode [cusrev_reviews comment_file=”/product-reviews.php”]

on elementor it shows the custom template content correctly https://prnt.sc/10s80os

but on the page it shows the review default template https://prnt.sc/10s81sh

Thank you for your answer, even if I’m really surprised.

As I told you I have astra theme and elementor pro. I also used the “shortcode” widget and write the same code [cusrev_reviews]

The only difference I can see is that I’m using the Elementor theme builder to get the header and the footer on each page of my website.
For the Products, I also have a builder section which is used on each product page. That’s where I make all the modifications for my product pages display.

I’m sorry I don’t know how to add screenshots in this area.

    Best regards

    I found a solution !

In the Elementor shortcode section, instead of writing the full code, I used the dynamic tag “Post ID”, and wrote in the both sections :
    – before : [cusrev_all_reviews products=”
    – after : “]

    And this is working.
I also tried with the other templates like cusrev_reviews_slider or cusrev_reviews_grid and this is also working.

Please find here a picture (sorry it’s in French)

I hope this will topic will maybe help other users ??
Best regards, and once again thank you for your help.

I’m glad that you resolved the problem! However, it would still be nice to understand why [cusrev_reviews] does not work for you. Can you please try if the problem also happens with the free version of Elementor (we don’t have the paid one)?

You can upload and share pictures with a service like Google Drive. Or you can also try this service: https://imgbb.com/. If possible, please share screenshots of the steps to reproduce the problem.

We haven’t heard from you for more than two weeks. For this reason, I’ll assume that either you are not interested in this question/problem anymore or it has been resolved. If this is not the case, please let us know and we’ll be happy to help.

@dabaaz i tried your solution but it does not work (it only displays the code with the product id inserted in it).

I am using woolentor in addition to elementor to create the product page template, do you think it could be the reason?

    Thread Starter dabaaz

    (@dabaaz)

Hi @jeando , for me this solution is still working.
I’m still using it (Elementor Pro + Woocommerce + Astra Theme Free).

I never heard about woolentor, but maybe you can disable this extension and see if the problem is still here ?

Hello @dabaaz , i tried with only elementor pro + woocommerce + Astra pro. It still does not work.

Are you using the theme builder?

    Thread Starter dabaaz

    (@dabaaz)

Hi @jeando, yes I use the theme builder to display every product page.

The area for reviews is already in the “unique product” theme section.
I’m not sure this explanation is clear sorry, I’m French :D.

And then I edit the “unique product” theme with elementor pro, I add the “short code” widget with “publication id”. In the advanced area, I include the texte wrote a few weeks ago :
    – before : [cusrev_all_reviews products=”
    – after : “]

This is still working for me.

Hello @dabaaz on peut parler en francais alors ??

Donc comme moi tu utilise astra + elementor pro en mode constructeur de theme. Et tu as créé un template de produit unique pour ton thème.

Je ne suis pas s?r d’avoir compris ce que tu voulais dire là: “The area for reviews is already in the “unique product” theme section.”
