• A friend who runs a small NGO has asked me to help her set up a site for one of their projects.

    They want the site to have some small blogging and mainly serve as a depository of all their reports and assessments.

    • What would be the best way to set up WP so that the NGO’s documents are searchable online by several criteria (e.g. date, subject, keywords, phrase)?
    • Should the documents be somewhere within the WP folder structure?

    Your guidance will be much appreciated.

  • Well one way to do this with WP is to blog the documents out as a post and customize the search to be able to search for it. You use tags as keywords for the document in question.

    What type of documents are they? Are they PDF or Word documents, txt files..? Is it something you can just copy and paste to a post?

    The documents are both Word documents and (mostly) PDF files.

    Copying and pasting would be the least desirable option since there are over 2,000 documents.
