    Hello,

I am looking for a method to completely disable Jetpack CDN and Image CDN.
Site Accelerator is already disabled, but images are still being delivered from Jetpack CDN.

Please note that I use the Tiled Gallery feature from Jetpack.

I would like to be able to completely disable CDN (so I serve my images from Cloudflare)

    Thanks

    Hi there

The Tiled Gallery feature relies on the Jetpack image CDN by default. However, if you disable the image CDN via Jetpack’s modules page, but leave Tiled Galleries enabled, then the images should be served from their original location:
    https://jetpack.com/support/control-jetpack-features-on-one-page/

This doesn’t appear to be the case. I have image CDN disabled, but images are still being retrieved from WP servers rather than mine.

This is a problem for me, because I use AWS servers as VPN end-points to test the site from different locations, but the WP servers appear not to like AWS IP addresses, returning a 400 code for every image request.

    Hi @philippeake,

Could you post your site URL here, so I can have a look?
    ?
If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form:

I’d like to take a closer look so to understand if it could be related to any caching instance as well.

    Thanks a lot!

I noticed that you have opened your own thread, @philippeake – that’s great, thanks a lot.

I have the same issue. The CDN is disabled but the images are still served from your CDN in Tiled Galleries.

    Hi @jakehhcls ,

If you are using the Tiled Gallery Block to add a gallery, by default the images will be served via the Jetpack Image CDN. However it is possible to avoid this by adding a Tiled Gallery using the Classic Block (or using the Classic Editor plugin).

To do this you would use the ‘Add Media’ button from the Classic Editor and add a gallery and select Tiled Gallery following the steps here:

    https://jetpack.com/support/tiled-galleries/

You may also want to double check that Tiled Galleries are active following the ‘control Jetpack features’ link Dan shared earlier.

This should then work. It is a bit of a workaround and our support documentation isn’t particularly clear about this so we’ll make sure to clarify the steps as soon as possible. Could you let us know if this works for your gallery?

    Hi @wpkaren

A simple toggle in the settings, to completely disable Jetpack Image CDN for being used would be awesome.

I am using the Tiled Gallery Block, as you mentioned. I would love to be able to change all these blocks to be served from my server. Right now I have a bunch of galleries in over 100 posts and it would be terribly hard to go and re-generate all of them.

So, if there’s a workaround to disable Jetpack Image CDN for my entire website, but also preserve the current galleries and serve them from the local website, please share more info.

    Thanks

    Hi @jakehhcls,

If you use a Tiled Gallery Block, even if you deactivate the “Speed up image load times” option, the tiled gallery will still use our CDN just for display of the gallery.

A workaround you might want to test, although I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for, is to enable the Carousel feature. This feature should work well with all types of images and galleries, whether you use the gallery block, the Tiled Gallery block, the classic editor, or a classic block. It should be working also whether you use Jetpack’s Image CDN feature or not.

Could you give it a try and let me know if that helps?

    Hi @erania-pinnera

I enabled Carousel but the images are still fed from the CDN ??

    Hello,

Is there any solution to this? The image quality gets destroyed with the CDN and currently there’s no way for me to change all the galleries on the website.

    Thanks

    Hi there

Apologies, it seems I provided incorrect information in my original reply. When I tested, I thought that disabling the Image CDN would serve the images from your server, but on double checking, it appears that’s not the case. Tiled Galleries will always serve images from the Jetpack CDN. We don’t have a workaround for that other than using the Classic Editor or Classic Block, as Karen mentioned.

    Sorry for the confusion there!

If that’s not a feasible workaround, you may prefer to look into an alternative gallery plugin.

Sorry I can’t be more help here.

Same problem here, I open one new topic.
    https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/site-accelerator-formerly-photon-disabled-issue/

Here say that you can use tiled gallery without the CDN.
    https://jetpack.com/support/tiled-galleries/

    Now that no is possible?
How I can transform all tiled galleries I maked to other galleries type is possible?
With one function or something? Or I need change all by hand??

The images use CDN also in the Gutenberg editor…

You need alert the people who use this feature you only can use this with CDN and no can change the gallery.
