Firstly thank you for this useful little plugin. Works great when bulk editing Alt, Caption and Description fields.

I don’t know if this issue is because I use an iPad, I’m working on a new site in staging, or perhaps a conflict with another plugin named Admin Columns, but when I have enabled the 3 types of meta data (Alt, Caption etc) on the Media Library page, then I tap Edit Mode Is Locked button, I just get gray boxes that can’t be clicked on, for each of those fields, for every image.

I can toggle the setting off and on, all it seems to do is give the text fields a darker background. Presumably the idea is to be able to inline edit the text inside those fields and then save it via AJAX without leaving the page. Every thing else seems fine though.

    Many thanks!

Thank you. Still the same on WP5.7. Have cleared all Safari history cache.

    Hi @graham-smith,

Thanks a lot for having patience. We have tested the plugin behavior on iPad OS with WP5.7 and also with the “Admin Columns” plugin enabled but not getting the behavior that you are facing. Looks like it might be something from another plugin or theme that is overriding the default styles/behavior of the Media Library Dashboard.

Can you please test in the below conditions in a STAGING area and let us know if you are still getting the same?

    1. Latest WP version 5.7
    2. Default WP theme
    3. Disable all plugins except “Bulk edit image alt tag, caption & description – WordPress Media Library Helper by Codexin”

If you are still getting the problem, can you please send us some more details like
    1. iPad Device type and OS version
    2. Browser name and version

    Thank you
