Change Block Editor’s keyboard shortcuts

  • Thanks to wonderful Block Editor developers team we have now support for <kbd> tags. But, picking Down arrow > Keyboard input when I have like 100+ keyboard shortcuts listed in single article is somewhat frightining.

    So… How can I register my own keyboard shortcut in Block Editor to have any formatting menu item applied automatically. The pretty much the same way as I use Ctrl+B to bold the text / click “B” button.

    The Block Editor Keyboard Shortcuts in WordPress 5.4 article seems outdated.

    Its “Next steps” section at the end says:

    In the next releases, this package will also let you offer a centralized UI to modify the keyboard shortcuts per user

    Am I correct to claim that such thing never happened?

    We have 5.7 released and either I am blind or there is still now UI for changing Block Editor’s keyboard shortcuts.
