Additional thing in url

    Some website has url like this “blog.com/post-title-9875” or this “blog.com/post-title-ukwgagf”. Why? Is it necessary?

  • In general, no. But if you want to create a news feed, it is recommended to use a number on the end.

    Why? Is it related to google news?

    It’s been a long time since I read that, and I don’t remember where, but it makes sense that the news from a site could be sorted easily by date using the number in the URL rather than having to retrieve part of it and find a date for each.
