    Hello,

In my free Yoast SEO plugin, in the “Social” tab I have added the URL links to social media channels YouTube, FaceBook and Instagram. However, when I view the source HTML code for my homepage, when I look at Yoast’s script below, there is no mention of my social channels? I am unable to edit the HTML code directly as I built the pages using Elementor and not WordPress blocks. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    <script type="application/ld+json" class="yoast-schema-graph">{"@context":"https://schema.org","@graph":[{"@type":"WebSite","@id":"https://madeinhere.co.uk/#website","url":"https://madeinhere.co.uk/","name":"Made in: Here","description":"local uk gifts with a twist","potentialAction":[{"@type":"SearchAction","target":"https://madeinhere.co.uk/?s={search_term_string}","query-input":"required name=search_term_string"}],"inLanguage":"en-GB"},{"@type":"ImageObject","@id":"https://madeinhere.co.uk/#primaryimage","inLanguage":"en-GB","url":"https://madeinhere.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Pamper-Box.jpg","width":800,"height":963,"caption":"Pamper Box"},{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://madeinhere.co.uk/#webpage","url":"https://madeinhere.co.uk/","name":"Made In Here - Ethical British Gifts - Made in: Here","isPartOf":{"@id":"https://madeinhere.co.uk/#website"},"primaryImageOfPage":{"@id":"https://madeinhere.co.uk/#primaryimage"},"datePublished":"2020-09-05T04:27:34+00:00","dateModified":"2021-02-26T21:18:00+00:00","breadcrumb":{"@id":"https://madeinhere.co.uk/#breadcrumb"},"inLanguage":"en-GB","potentialAction":[{"@type":"ReadAction","target":["https://madeinhere.co.uk/"]}]},{"@type":"BreadcrumbList","@id":"https://madeinhere.co.uk/#breadcrumb","itemListElement":[{"@type":"ListItem","position":1,"item":{"@type":"WebPage","@id":"https://madeinhere.co.uk/","url":"https://madeinhere.co.uk/","name":"Home"}}]}]}</script>

  • Hi @dineend71

We would like some more information in order to assist us with troubleshooting.

    1. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.7? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider.?Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast.?This guide explains more:?https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.

    2. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    3. Does clearing your caching from your theme, plugin, server, CDN like CloudFlare or browser resolve the issue? If you are not sure how to clear caching from theme/plugin please speak to those authors. If you want to clear cache from the server, please speak to your host provider. To clear the cache from a browser use this guide: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-clear-my-browsers-cache/

    4. If you go to SEO-Search Appearance-General in the knowledge graph section are you a Person or an Organization? If a person, what profile did you select? The admin for the site or someone else’s?

    Thank you for your reply.

    1. I am indeed using WordPress 5.7
    2. All of my non-Yoast plugins are updated to latest versions
    3. I’ve ensured the cache is cleared
    4. I’m not sure what you mean by item number 4?

On another website I’ve built, when I’ve added my LinkedIn social channel to Yoast’s social media tab, I successfully see this in the source code of https://www.dineendigital.co.uk.
    “url”:”https://dineendigital.co.uk/&#8221;,”sameAs”:[“https://www.linkedin.com/in/damiandineen

However, when I view the source code for wwww.madeinhere.co.uk I don’t see this in the Schema.org script from Yoast. When I also check https://www.madeinhere.co.uk using Google’s Data Structure Tool it doesn’t show the social media channels I added via Yoast?

    https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/#url=www.madeinhere.co.uk

    Thanks

    Hi @dineend71!

With number 4 we mean there is a section which can control how those social profiles are outputted. See image: https://ibb.co/6bFJWqD. If you are a person were those social profiles added to the user’s author profile?
