    Hi,

    I noticed that wpdiscuz installs on users’ devices the wpdiscuz_hide_bubble_hint cookie in order to show the comment bubble after X seconds.

    As this is not a strictly necessary cookie, I would need to block it via the Iubenda cookie solution, which I can do by adding the script/iframe used to trigger the bubble. Would be able to help with this?

    Or is there any other way to block the cookie from being set?

    Thank you!

    @ruokaonvalmis,

    I may suggest you set some big value for the option. Count for example 5 days (or more) in seconds and set the value.

    @gvectorssupport,

    Thank you for the quick reply.

    The solution you presented does not delete the cookie, it delays its injection and impacts our pages where we need the cookie to behave as intended.

    We need a solution that will install the cookie only on pages that use your plugin (i.e., news, posts, blogs).?

    Cheers!

    @ruokaonvalmis,

    Closing the loop. Please refer to this topic for additional information.

    Bottom line: There is no solution for this issue.

    The plugin injects the cookie you mentioned on all pages with no filter or code available to dequeue it on website pages that don’t required wpDiscuz.

    Let’s hope the developer(s) will come up with a filter or change their plugin’s code to fix this. An intrusion that none of us need.

    Cheers!

    @ruokaonvalmis,

    After further analysis, we have decided to get rid of the cookie by disabling the plugin’s “Live Commenting and Notifications” feature. Come to think about it, this feature is helpful only for websites that draw a lot of commenters and/or high blog traffic.

    The above got rid of the cookie on all of our website pages. Still, would be great for the developer to provide code snippet, hook, or method that will allow the cookie to load only on website pages that depend on this plugin.

    Cheers!
