error message when adding image

    When I try to add an image to my site I get this error code:

    Unable to create directory /var/www/vhosts/inferno385.com/httpdocs/wp-content/uploads/2010/01. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    Any idea why this is?

    A) you have Settings > Miscellaneous set to “Organize my uploads into month- and year-based folders”

    and

    B) Sounds like a permissions problem. Do you know how to set folder permissions via CHMOD or your hosting control panel?
