Generate New Posts from A Submission Form?

    Hey Guys,

    Is this plugin, or any plugin for that matter – able to automate the creation process of a live band page (actually technically a post in my case) on my website? I run this small live bands booking agency, where I have this page (below) that is a SIGN-UP page for new bands who want us to represent them:

    As you can see, they can input all their private information, and also their band information to send to me when they click “SUBMIT”, so I can then build a band page for them, but also store their private contact details on a file somewhere (not sure where – a database perhaps??), so I can retreive their details and call or email them later, if someone wants to hire them. Regarding these two points, can you tell me how I can automate the process, even a little bit if possible, for :

    generating a new band page with all their photos, mp3 songs, biography information etc that I can upload to the site for them that looks the same layout as my already established other band pages – it doesn’t have to be exact, but close would save me a lot of work, and:

    store their private contact details automatically somewhere also?

    I don’t want it to be necessary for users to have to create a User account as such – I just want them to be able to upload their details and generate a new band page is all I want, if that’s possible.

    I’d really appreciate your expert help on this – I can’t work it out..! Can your plugin do either of these?

    Thanks for the query.

    In a nutshell which I understand you want to let your users submit a custom post type (Band Post) with few additional custom fields like images, media/mp3, etc.

    So in such a scenario, I think you can create a custom post type like “Band” with a plugin like CPT UI. Then create a “Band” type form with the WP User Frontend plugin to get the user’s information, saving the submitted data as a particular post (Band Type) after submission.

    Additional Note: Please note use a media file upload field in WPUF is a pro feature, so that it won’t be available with the free version, and we are not allowed to discuss any of the plugin’s pro features on this forum.

    I don’t know if you got that resolved already but you can do that with contact form 7. It has supporting plugins that let you submit post from the form and save the data, etc. Just in case.

    Also Ultimate Member will let you do it and provides a user profile which can serve the same purpose if you add the fields you want to either the registration or let them do it on the profile themselves. You can have a directory for all the client bands as well, so their profile page can be as custom as you need it to be.

    I’m currently using WPUF with UM and so far it’s working fantastic together but ever so often either one of these will have yet another update and I have to go redo a bunch of stuff. Other than that, both play nice.

    Hey Audrey! Thanks for your message. No, I haven’t worked this out yet. The only solutions I can find seem to be expensive. The free solutions I can’t work out how to do it! Anyway, I’ll DM you now. Thank you!
