Generate New Posts from A Submission Form?

    Hey Guys,

    Is this free plugin, or any plugin for that matter – able to automate the creation process of a live band page (actually technically a post in my case) on my website? I run this small live bands booking agency, where I have this page (below) that is a SIGN-UP page for new bands who want us to represent them:

    As you can see, they can input all their private information, and also their band information to send to me when they click “SUBMIT”, so I can then build a band page for them, but also store their private contact details on a file somewhere (not sure where – a database perhaps??), so I can retreive their details and call or email them later, if someone wants to hire them. Regarding these two points, can you tell me how I can automate the process, even a little bit if possible, for :

    generating a new band page with all their photos, mp3 songs, biography information etc that I can upload to the site for them that looks the same layout as my already established other band pages – it doesn’t have to be exact, but close would save me a lot of work, and:

    store their private contact details automatically somewhere also?

    I don’t want it to be necessary for users to have to create a User account as such – I just want them to be able to upload their details and generate a new band page is all I want, if that’s possible.

    I’d really appreciate your expert help on this – I can’t work it out..! Can your plugin do either of these?

    This is for unregistered users. It’s the most difficult one. https://docs.buddyforms.com/article/638-can-i-set-a-user-for-post-submitted-by-unregistered-users I would create the account on the first submission or offer a login form. This could be dynamically displayed for logged-off users.

    Anyway, we are working on a tutorial guiding you through all steps, and it’s about labels and bands, and artists and will cover all your requirements. Stay tuned!

    Thanks a lot Sven for your very quick reply, I really do appreciate it! I do apologise – I just noticed this is $7/month ongoing cost, is that right? I didn’t realise when I sent you the message. My site doesn’t generate any income yet, and I’m not in a position to pay for a premium product since Covid changed the live music landscape. I’ll have a look anyway and see if I can understand how it works.. I’m not so good at this stuff yet!

    OK, thanks Sven. I’ll await your reply asap this week, hopefully by Thursday perhaps? If it’s still beyond my abilities, are you able to assist with some customising tweaks if I give you my WP login credentials? Also, my site is built on the AVADA theme, and I don’t use Buddypress at this point – are either of these two things an issue?

    Free supports is only about the plugins. For custom work you need to contact [email protected] We do offer custom development but this is not the place here for pro questions or client work.

    Let me come back to you with a tutorial on how to build your requirements with our free tools and for the rest you are welcome to PM us.

    Wonderful – thanks Sven.. I have a few days off now so hopefully I’ll be able to create something useable based on what you come back to me with in your instructions. But I’m very average with all this I have to confess!

    @stumur can I kindly ask you to send me an email to [email protected] so that I can send you a link to a google doc.

    It would be helpful to me if you follow the tutorial and add you comments if you get stuck so I can correct it until all is as we want it.

    Then in the end I will write a blog post and create a public documentation. What do you think?
