How to block GA cookies and FBP cookies

Yes I tried to follow that… is the only way to do it via Google Tag Manager then? I set up the triggers as instructed but the scripts are not entered via GTM… the GTM is managed via the wordpress plugin so I’m not sure how to tie the trigger/custom event in. (I’m not very familiar with GTM)

It seems like the Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics and other scripts are currently being loaded through the “Swiftype” plugin. Could you verify if this is the case?

Hmm…the Swiftype plugin is used for Search only. I can’t see any means by which those tools would be configured through there. What gave you that impression?

So in fact the Facebook pixel is set up via Google Tag Manager using a custom Facebook Pixel event that uses a lot of fb variables and injects a script. I don’t think I can attach screenshots in here can I? Otherwise I would take a screenshot of the configuration. I believe I already tried attaching the custom trigger complz_event_marketing to the tag but did not see it being blocked.

Should I be creating some sort of blocking trigger?

I think it is a custom template – it is labelled gtm-templates-simo-ohava

As far as GTM Templates go, these are mostly built with javascript and have permissions when to trigger. I will need to look into this.

If the custom event equals “cmplz_event_marketing” does not work correctly with the template, please check if there are other triggers available.

Thanks for the link to the Complianz dev document. Is the suggestion to use the deny status to block the tag?

Left you see the custom event is the only trigger for the template, as it solves DNT as well. You can keep the exception for logged-in users.

This should be it.

Make sure the GDPR value in the template is already set to true, and on the right you find the trigger configuration of the custom event.

Many thanks for persisting with this. I tried the above configuration but am still not seeing the fbp cookie blocked when I decline marketing cookies.

Is this what you meant?
