    Hi,
My checkout section for credit card information is suddenly not working anymore. Customers aren’t able to enter credit card details, the box won’t allow input. I tested this on Safari and Chrome so far. Any idea what went wrong?
    Thanks,

  • I am having this same problem. It seems to be a problem with how the plugin is loading jQuery. In the Chrome developer tools, I’m getting a jQuery is not defined error. The Square fields work fine when I am logged into my Admin WordPress account but when you are logged out the error comes up. I had a caching plugin turned on but I turned caching off and even uninstalled the plugin but that didn’t solve the problem. WordPress and all plugins are up to date. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

    Hi there,

I wasn’t able to recreate this issue on your site, as it seems that Square is not currently active.

So I did the next best thing, tested it on a sandbox site where only WooCommerce (5.1.0) and Square 2.4.0 is active, along with Storefront. There too I’m not able to recreate the issue, and I’m able to enter credit card details as usual. I also checked current open issues for Square, but there are none that match this.

In light of the limited information, make sure to flush your site and browser caches. If you’re using any optimization plugins, do not concatenate or minify your script files, or at least exclude the cart and checkout page.

Try the above, and let us know your findings. If the issue persist, you might need to do a conflict test.

Thank’s for checking. I had customers waiting to order, therefore I had to change my payment gateway (now using WooCommerce Payments). Since this seems to be an issue that keeps springing up with the Square plugin and it renders it unusable, for now, I will use the new gateway.

    Hi @winni2

As my colleague previously mentioned, we couldn’t replicate it on a sandbox site, so it’s most likely a conflict issue with your theme or plugins.

Glad that you’ve found a solution by switching to a different payment gateway.

I’ll close this, and feel free to post any other new questions in a new thread.

Have a great day and good luck with your store!

I’m having exactly the same issue. A customer has told me that they can’t add payment details. My site is https://www.thestudybuddy.com

I’ve deactivated the plugin. Disconnected from Square. All the usual things but still nothing.

Having been through everything, the issue that I have comes down to having a global shipping option. I have zomes for local (free delivery), UK (flat rate) and Global (flat rate). Disabling Global brought back the ability to enter the credit card details.

    I don’t understand why.

    Howdy @nathan12343,

If you are able to provide the exact steps that can be taken to reproduce this under the following conditions:

    1. An unmodified, default WordPress theme such as Twenty Twenty or [Storefront](https://www.ads-software.com/themes/storefront/) active.
    2. No other plugins except for WooCommerce and Square active.

Please do provide those steps and we can take a closer look.
