My advanced columns do not stack on mobile anymore in v1.22.0. The breakpoint setting is set to Tablet in the adv col block settings. It was displaying fine (stacked) before the update.

Table of Contents block is also broken. I can’t expand the block on the frontend.
These problems did not exist before the 1.22.0 update.

I don’t have any console errors, but these are still the results.

I restored a backup to keep my site functional, so I don’t have a live page to share. Curious if anyone else has issues with their advanced columns now.

    Thanks,
    Nate

  • Hi @goseongguy, I’ve got the same problems too.

Advanced columns overwrote the stack settings. In my case I had to replace from tablet to mobile.

Table of Content is not editable anymore form backend – WP finds something wrong and it gives you just the opportunity to convert the broken block in html or in block but it doesn’t work.
Also, the Plugin Update changed the title of the Table of Content. The custom title, like for example “summary”, has been replaced by “Table of Content” in every single blocks.

At the moment I’ve found these two issues.

    Thank you!

I can confirm for advanced columns not stacking on mobile if you select tablet as a breaking point. Just updated to 1.22.1, cleared all caches – still same issue on all my sites. I see that you mentioned in 1.22.0 – Fix: Advanced Column – Reverse column and stack issue on tablet/mobile… – can you revisit this? I am using UAG with your Astra Pro.

I have the same problem as well. I submitted a support ticket but haven’t received any response.

Same problem my columns do not stack on mobile and tablet when set to tablet. I set stack to “tablet” so columns should stack on both mobile and tablet. Not working. If I set to mobile it will work. If I set to tablet doesn’t seem to stack on mobile.

    Got the exact same problem.
Anyone have an idea how to get an older version for testing?

@tschimana same issue over here – you can download the last properly working version (at least for stacked columns on the mobile issue) 1.21.1 at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/ultimate-addons-for-gutenberg/advanced/ at the bottom of the page you’ll find previous versions download section.

@logoholik thanks for the tip! 1.21.1 “fixed” the problem.

    Hello @tschimana and others,

Just to let you know, in our recent update of UAG, we have updated the Stack-On CSS in the Advanced column.

If you’re stacking a column on a tablet then it will only stack on Tablet devices, not mobile devices.

    I hope you understand.

@swetakumari That’s unacceptable and unlogical… What’s the purpose of stacking on a tablet while not doing the exact thing on mobile? It is logical the other way to stack only on mobile, for which we have an option. Is there a chance to take it back like it was in 1.22.1 or at least add an option: “stack on tablet AND mobile”. You must understand that this decision defies the first rule and logic of responsive design – stacking columns on smaller devices… and it also breaks millions of websites currently relying on your plugin… I hope you understand.

@swetakumari That’s unacceptable for me, too! Bring back the old functionality or a solution like “stack on tablet AND mobile” from @logoholik.

    Hello @logoholik and others,

I’m sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. I am taking this ahead to our concerned developers.

They will check this and will get back to you.

Your patience and co-operation are highly appreciated.

Thank you @swetakumari for taking this again to devs. I can’t understand why the developers would think it’s a good idea when breakpoint is set to tablet, to let the default behavior stack on tablet but revert to unstacked on mobile. At least make it clear which devices to stack and unstack on, in that case. I would expect with so many people using this plugin for basic site layouts that it would be addressed quickly.
    Thanks!

@swetakumari I find this totally illogical too. It clearly says choose which breakpoint you want the columns to stack. That would mean that after that chosen breakpoint, the columns will be stacked (and therefore not unstack on mobile if stacked on tablet). There should at least be an option to choose whether you want to stack on mobile and tablet, or stack on just mobile or just tablet. To simply have only one option to choose the breakpoint as tablet and then have no option to choose to stack on mobile makes no sense. Because a mobile screen is obviously smaller than a tablet.
Since you say that it has been done in the css, can you give us some css to change it back to how it was before so we don’t have to wait for the update? Or do we just have to wait for the next update.
Thanks for forwarding this issue on to the developers.

Thanks for the downgrade tip. Got sites working again by downgrading to 1.21.1

As others have articulated, logic for change makes no sense. You either choose stack on mobile size or if choosing tablet then it is tablet and any screen smaller than tablet. As others correctly point out, why would one want to stack on tablet and not mobile.

Further, totally breaking functionality to those who are using is disrespectful. At this point if this is developer attitude then looking for another column plugin that stacks easily on tablet and mobile is solution.

I’ve been looking around. If anyone can suggest lightweight plugin with easy columns that stack on tablet and without a lot of effort and without extra bells and whistles please let me know. The reason I started using this plugin is because it was easy to stack on tablet and mobile with one click one setting… easy and simple.

    Hello @goseongguy and others,

We’re so sorry for the inconvenience caused to you all.

I’d like to let you know, we have fixed that issue in our development version and soon going to release an update for the same.

Meanwhile, please open a ticket with us from here so that we can share the development version with you all that will fix your problem.

    Again, apologize for the inconvenience.
