    Hi there,

I am getting an error when sending a test email:
    warning icon
    spf

Action Needed: It doesn’t look like the SPF record required by Sendinblue has been added to your domain. Please check out our step by step guide for details on how to add this record to your domain’s DNS.
    warning icon
    dkim

Action Needed: It doesn’t look like the DKIM record required by Sendinblue has been added to your domain. Please check out our step by step guide for details on how to add this record to your domain’s DNS.
    warning icon
    dmarc

Action Recommended: It doesn’t look like DMARC has been set up on your domain (inthebayservices.com). We recommend using the DMARC protocol because it helps protect your domain from unauthorized use. Please check out our step by step guide for details on how to add this record to your domain’s DNS.

I have set up the subdomain in Sendinblue and validated it in Namecheap. The subdomain is accepted as correct in Sendinblue:

Any ideas why I am getting this error still or how I can troubleshoot best?
    Many thanks!

    Hi @mrlennyman,

it looks like you have the domain .com.au registered in Sendinblue, but in our plugin settings you are using a From Email address with just the .com domain, is that correct?

Please update the From Email setting to use the .com.au domain in the WP Mail SMTP settings and try to send another Email Test.

There should be no warnings this time ??

    Have a nice day!

    Hi,

I’m getting a similar error message. The SPF and DKIM records are showing errors. When I send a test message exchange emails arrive but the gmail and hotmail never appear.

The Sendinblue domain is all authenticated but still experiencing issues.

    Thank you @capuderg
That was it – I missed that .au a few times in this website.
Thank you for your quick response and excellent clear support

    Hi @mrlennyman,

no problem. I’m glad the issue is fixed ??

@gthorp I don’t see the screenshot you posted (I get a 404 error). If the domain is authenticated on Sendinblue and you are using that domain in your From Email address as [email protected], then you should contact Sendinblue support and ask about this deliverability issue. Maybe they just had some issues with their system and the emails were delayed?

About our SPF/DKIM checks, do you have the “Sending domain” setting configured in the plugin settings?

    Take care!

    Thanks You @capuderg,

It appears that I wasn’t using an email that was set up in Sendinblue and now I am the SPF and DKIM are now showing green success notification. The only thing is now the DMARC is showing errors where it was fine before?

Is there a way to get them all showing success?

    Many thanks,

    Hi @gthorp,

you don’t need to configure the DMARC protocol, it’s just a recommendation. The SPF and DKIM are more important for email deliverability, so you should be good to go.

You can read more about DMARC and how to configure it here.

    Have a nice day!

I’m having a similar issue BUT emails appear to be sending correctly.

I get the Error for SPF record and Action Needed for DKIM/DMARC. My domain DNS is with GoDaddy and we used GSuite(Workspace) to add this domain in google, verified the domain against GoDaddy in the setup and used WP MAIL Gmail option, generated our GMAIL Application etc…Looking at the GoDaddy DNS entries I can see the SPF record, MX records etc…so is this a false negative? I also believe that by default Google now uses DKIM so no need for a separate entry in DNS(?)

As stated I can send emails at will from WP Forms, PW Recovery etc..but its annoying to have these errors show up in the test emails.

    Any insight would be appreciated.

    Hi @tr33t0p55,

for the Gmail mailer with a custom domain in GSuite, you should follow these two Google support docs, to setup SPF and DKIM:
    https://support.google.com/a/answer/33786
    https://support.google.com/a/answer/174124

Once you do that, the email deliverability will improve. This will configure Google to use the SPF and DKIM records for your custom domain and will improve the deliverability. Their default settings work well for most of the cases, but might still fail for some mailboxes (emails go to spam).

When you are adding the Google SPF record, keep in mind you should edit the existing SPF record, don’t create a second SPF record. More info here.

    Take care!
