First, I updated my WP site to 5.7. Worked as usual. Second, I updated Neve theme to 2.10.4 and the menu became one long vertical list.

    Please see link: https://share.getcloudapp.com/GGuQX0vv

And most of the website is not working.

I reloaded a backup, updated to WP 5.7 but did not update Neve theme and the site looks as it should and it is working properly.

Browser, Chrome latest version, Windows 10 latest updates installed.

  • Hello @cqbearpaw,

Neve theme should work fine after the update.
Can you please try to back up your site for security purposes, and try to do a plugin conflict test – by deactivating your plugins one by one and see if any of them causes this issue appear?

    Thank you!

Same effect with 2.10.3 and 2.10.4. It is not related to WP 5.7, I also experienced this in WP 5.6. I keep working with 2.10.2.

Pending to try to update deactivating plugins.

    Regards.

    Hi,

Thank you for the input. I appreciate the feedback.

However, the website was working fine. I have updated WordPress and all plugins to their latest versions. I did not update neve theme and the website works fine. When I update neve theme it goes bonkers. But this is a plugin conflict? Sorry, I do not understand. If the plugins are all updated and working fine with a previous version of neve, then how is it the plugins and not neve theme?

My steps: I did not update any plugins just WordPress. It worked fine. I then updated neve theme and the menus got messed up and the website stopped working. Before updating WordPress and Neve the website worked fine. Reloaded a backup. Updated WordPress and all plugins. Did not update Neve theme and the website works fine.

I have backed up and troubleshot the plugin issue 4 times. And in the end it comes down to the theme. I just end up reloading a backup and starting over.

So what just to recap. What I am reading is that updating neve without updating anything else, a plugin caused the problem, even though no plugins were updated and all plugins worked fine with the previous version of neve. Also, even though the website works fine with WP and plugins updated, but not Neve theme, it is the plugins.

Tested with plugins disabled and reactivated one by one and the issue still occurred. But with Neve not updated and WP and plugins updated, website works fine.

Still don’t understand. Thank you. FC

    Hi @cqbearpaw,

It must be still an edge case as doesn’t seem like a global issue. If you can create a staging website with this issue present (here is a guide for creating one – https://themeisle.com/blog/wordpress-staging-site/) so we can access the staging website online and check the issue – that would be very helpful.

From the first look at your screenshot seems like some styles are missing but debugging on a live website would give us much more insights.

    Thanks!

I recently had this same issue with version 2.11.1 and it was fixed by rolling back to 2.11.

    Same thing here.

All my plugins are updated also the theme neve to the last version. When WordPress updated to 5.7 I also updated all plugins and theme neve. But I have problem on single product page (woocommerce). It show on all single product page that have attributes (like colors choices). The error is “use strict jQuery (document).ready function” appearing on the page

My menu styles are also affected.

I didn’t found the solution yet for the use strict jQuery problem.
    I’m open for suggestions.
    Thanks

    Hello @cboseb ,

    Thank you for using Neve!

Could you please create a different thread and detail your specific issue as this thread has already been marked as resolved?

This looks like a plugin conflict at first glance thus standard debugging practice applies. Can you please try to deactivate all plugins and then activating them one by one whilst checking to see if the issue persists?

If that didn’t work then can you please create a separate thread and include more information about the issue? (screenshots, website URL, plugins used would help)

Thank you and have an amazing day!
