• Can anyone help me?
I am a total beginner using a free Rich Jerk website. while logged on my dashboard I chose an alternate theme to the one I was given. (as my training video suggested) When I returned to the site, I found that the login field was now missing from the ‘Meta’ section of my side bar. I now can’t get back to my dashboard !
I was told nothing would change EXCEPT the theme …What did I do wrong and what should I do?

  • Go to your site, type “wp-login.php” after your site name and folder (do not replace any of the other stuff) in the command line of your browser (where the URL is displayed) – that should give you your log-in screen. You want to run the “wp-login.php” from the directory your blog is installed in.

You did not do anything “wrong” – some Themes have the log-in link in the meta section others don’t –

if you like your new Theme and want log-in link on the front page of your site – go to “Appearance – Widgets” and drag and drop the Widget with the log-in option to the Sidebar.

This helped. But there is no widget to drag or sidebar to drag to?
