image uploads http errors

  • i think i upgraded the blog to 2.9.2 using auto upgrade feature and now none of my blogs are able to upload images

    when using flash upload – gives http error

    when using broswer upload – Unable to create directory /home/maverick/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2010/03. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

    now my image files are set to 766 – so where does the problem lies!

  • chmod these folders to 777
    /wp-content/uploads
    do the upload
    chmod back to normal – should work from now on

    surprisingly i cant find any folder called upload …in wp-content folder i can see plugins, themes, upgrade and index.php

    inside my theme folder i can see image folder

    then just chmod /wp-content to 777 and try it
