• Hi,

I was just trying to analyze the metatags, particularly keywords and description metatags for my blog. However its a little confusing since I cannot understand which index.html or index .php file is the one that I would check for these meta tags.

Does anyone know if its a standard worpress template would I need to look in the domain/blog/wp-content/themes/theme_selection/index.php or index.html to find these metatags or would it be somewhere else in the blog?

    Thanks,
    John.

  • WordPress doesn’t come with META tag support out of the box, but you can install a plugin, like All-in-one-SEO.

Once that’s up and running, you’ll be able to set the meta description and keywords on each post (just edit the post to see the descriptions). Or I seem to remember there’s an option for AIOSEO to auto-generate them too if you don’t fancy writing them manually.
