Resize images and remove original & nextgen

Hey guys
i am using next gen gallery and i would like to upload very large photos and have WP rezise the images to 800 px wide save that image size and delete the original.
does anyone know if that is possible? i would liek to save disc space on my host because i have lots of large images and i am not always able to resize images from the road before uploading
