I’m having a problem trying to change the background colour of the menu when viewing on mobile/tablet, which is dark and can’t see the words properly. I found where to change it but when I click on publish an error message appears: changeset_post_save_failure I’ve spent hours trying to resolve this and I am not technical at all. Please advise kind regards P.S. I am using Neve, but can’t see how I ask them. it’s just taken me 20 minutes to find the page for menu sidebar and where I want to change the background colour on mobile and tablet so the menu titles can be seen clearly.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @ylesley,

The link provided leads to the admin dashboard so we cannot access it but please do not share credentials in this public forum.

So you’re not able to change the background color of the header (menu) in mobile/desktop or sidebar? I’m a bit confused and want to be on the same page.

Could you also send us a screenshot (upload it online) with the error that you’re receiving?

    Thanks!

    Hi
will do. I’ve also tried to do this on my ipad, but I get same problem.
I have also edited the about page on my website and that updated ok.
Now I can’t see how to upload my screenshot (i’ve saved it as a pdf).
seems I’m being quite challenged here. Which is ok as long as I can get over these few hurdles

    Hi @ylesley,

You can always upload images online as it’s not possible to upload them here in the forum. You can use any platform that allows uploading images like this – https://imgbb.com/

    Thanks!

    Hi @ylesley,

This issue might be occurring due to a plugin conflict. So please deactivate all plugins and check if it resolves your issue and after that try activating the plugins one by one to find problematic plugin. Then replace it with an alternate plugin.

To do it safely without losing any of your work, please take the following steps:
Install and activate the Health Check plugin.
    Enable the TroubleShoot mode.
Enable the Neve theme and open the page.

Does it resolve the issue? If yes, then there is some plugin conflict or configuration error that you can check by enabling theme/plugins one by one in the troubleshooting mode.
If not, post us back by keeping the Health Check plugin active. We will also need admin access to troubleshoot further.
Health Check allows troubleshooting without losing the current setup. The changes are done only temporarily until you turn off the troubleshooting mode. However, it is recommended to keep a backup.

You might want to back your website up before doing this; if you don’t already have a backup plugin, then you can use this one: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/updraftplus/.

Since it’s a new plugin, it most likely won’t cause any additional issues.

Let us know if this solved your issue, I hope it helped.

    Hi Vytis
thanks so much for your helpful & clear instructions. In the end I got there, although I had deactivated all plugins and reactivated them in turn with no avail, this time for some unknow reason (well, to me anyway) it all worked and nothing seems to be in conflict. I’ve changed the colour of the background menu on mobile view and all seems ok.
I’ve learnt quite a lot, but wonder why this happened in the first place and yet not now.
    thanks again.
