    Hello,

    We are having an issue with calculating tax with the flexible shipping method. It does work sometimes but not always. Most of the time it don’t work.

    Here is the video I recorded which is showing the issue. Many times, it won’t show tax at all.

    You can reproduce the issue on the above URL by adding it to the cart and providing any address detail of Canada. Example (st johns newfoundland canada, A1A0A8).

    Kindly check out and let us know, is it conflicting with our theme or any plugin? or the issue is with flexible shipping plugin and any solution that make it work for us.

    Hi @wphostpk,

    Have you checked if the problem occurs also for the default WooCommerce Flat Rate shipping method and if the Shipping tax checkbox is ticked at WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Standard rates?

    Our Flexible Shipping plugin hooks into WooCommerce tax settings. It means it doesn’t change anything in this area and it take all the tax setup from there.

    I believe there might be something interfering here e.g. some caching/minification plugin (WP Rocket). The best way to find out what’s responsible for such behaviour would be changing the theme temporarily to WooCommerce dedicated Storefront and deactivating all the plugins apart from WooCommerce and Flexible Shipping. If the problem dissappears it means there is a plugin conflict.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your prompt response.

    I have added flat rate shipping method and the issue persists for flat rate too. Yes the shipping checkboxes are ticked for each location.

    So, the issue is not with flexible shipping plugin.

    Would you please guide us on which plugin / theme might be conflicting with tax calculation?

    I believe it’s rather up to one of the plugins you are currently using than the theme-related issue. My first guess would be the WP Rocket’s caching and/or minification since it might influence the cart/checkout dynamic calculation so I’d start from turning it off temporarily, clearing the browser’s cache and checking what’s the situation in the browser’s private/incognito mode.

    If it’s not the WP Rocket’s fault I’m afraid you will need to deactivate all the plugins, leaving only WooCommerce and Flexible Shipping on and start turning them on, one by one, checking after activation which one the problem appears.
