Change alert message

    Is there a way that we can override how this alert/error message is worded?

    “Please select a purchasable product in the component before adding to the cart.”

    In our case we don’t set up composite products with required product groups where the user can pick one of several products.

    Instead we might have 3x product groups, each of which only has one product in it, but all 3 product groups are required.

    So if one of those required products/product groups is out of stock then that error message is showing up, but it would be far better if we could rephrase it to something like:

    “A required component product is out of stock. The bundle cannot be purchased until it is back in stock.”

    Hi @gnuworld,
    In order to manage the stocks of the composite, you can go to the Inventory tab, put a check to “Enable stock management at product level” >> enter a stock quantity in the box under that to set up the available stock for the composite product.

    Note: If you enable the stock management option without entering any number for the quantity, your product will be “Out of Stock” in the front-end.

    If you have set up the stock properly but the “Out of Stock” notification keeps showing, you can also go to WPClever >> Composite Products, choose “Yes” for “Exclude un-purchasable”, in the front-end, out-of-stock products will be removed and your composite product will be in stock again.

    Besides, You can hide alert text from the plugin setting: WPClever >> Composite Products >> choose “No, always hide the alert” for the “Show alert” option >> Update options.

    Hi @miemie

    The ‘Exclude unpurchasable’ setting is not suitable if we want to only sell the composite when all component products are available. We are not trying to force the composite back to ‘in stock’.

    And hiding the alert is not good for UX because it can actually explain to customers why the composite cannot currently be purchased.

    Is there no function to change the alert text?
