Long product description missing

    Hello there, after I moved our ecommerce-site from Siteground to Cloudways we have a problem with the single product page. Now the long product description doesn’t get shown on the newly uploaded procuts (short description gets shown). (Here a new product: https://tga-streetwear.com/product/fuck-masks-unisex-sweater/ ) (And here an old product: https://tga-streetwear.com/product/united-earth-unisex-sweater/ )

    We also have a custom css code to format the final price on the single product page, but when you change the product variation, the formating of the final price is missing.

    We already got in touch with the cloudways support which wrote us back: “We performed a detailed review of the issue by bypassing Cloudflare, disabling Varnish, Breeze and flushing all cache but the issue is still occurring. While reviewing the source code of one of the problematic pages, we found that the issue is caused by inline CSS which is not changing when other elements (tabs or variations) are selected. I am attaching a screenshot as reference where I manually removed the “display: none” from the inline style and the element loaded.

    We recommend to reinstall the current theme in use or check the WooCommerce plugin to see if that resolves the issue as this is an application issue.”

    After this, we made a staging site and tried different themes and downgraded Elementor etc. but the problem was still occurring.. somehow the single product page doesn’t get loaded right.

    Thanks for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear of the troubles!

    Since you already have a staging site in place, can you test by making sure just WooCommerce and Storefront theme are active at the same time? Does the long product description show at that point? If not, can you try installing a fresh copy of WooCommerce to see if that helps?

    Last, but not least, would you mind copying and pasting your System Status Report into this thread so that we can check for any red flags there? You can find this by going to WooCommerce > Status > System Status > Get System Report in your WP-Admin dashboard.

    After making sure just WooCommerce and Storefront theme are active at the same time, the problem was still. Also after deleting woocommerce and installing it again, nothing changed..

    I don’t know if it has something to do with this problem, but I changed in the wp-config.php file: ” require(‘wp-salt.php’); ”

    Hi @pjhimseelf – yes, the wp-config changes could certainly cause some issues.
    If you remove those changes and only have WooCommerce and the Storefront theme active on your staging site, can you provide us a link that we can view this issue at?

    Hello there, I now also made a status check with the Printful plugin and it gives one fail message at “WooCommerce authentication URL access” and says: “Printful needs access to WooCommerce API authorize page. This sometimes may get blocked due to hosts having unnecessarily intrusive security checks in place that prevent WooCommerce API authentication from working (for example mod_security rule #1234234). If this check fails, you will not be able authorize Printful app.”

    Maybe this is the problem with the single products page..

    After uploading a new design via Printful the long description gets shown, but after I change the product description and update the product, the description gets missing on the single product page.

    Because this involves Printful, a third-party product that we didn’t develop, I would recommend reaching out to them directly for the next best steps. Though it sounds like you may also want to reach out to your web host to see if they are blocking the WooCommerce API authentication at a server level.
