Keep getting index page when logging in
-
I have tried installing WordPress 2 ways. Firstly I did it through Fantastico Deluxe and then manually myself through Filezilla. In both instances WordPress said that it had been installed.
My problem is that I get an index page coming up when I try to login. This index page lists all of my files. I was able to login by clicking on wp-login.php. When I did it the first time I was able to bring up the dashboard and start setting up my Blog but I was unable to view my Blog. I tried this numerous times, removing the files and reinstalling it through fantastico. Finally i gave up and did it manually. It took awhile and was excited when WordPress finally said that it was installed.
When I did it manually, it created a new password for me was able to login once using it but it went directly through to the index page again. I have tried logging in again but now it doesn’t recognise me at all.
I know this has to be something simple but I’m brain dead at the moment. Can anyone please answer my call as to why this is happening? I would soooo appreciate.
Thanking up in advance.
Cheers
Cathy
