• Resolved lastrowmusic

For the last few weeks, my SEO/Readability/Schema/Social Media settings are not showing on pages or posts to edit on the backend. On the latest update, it was resolved for a few days but then, it went back to its current issue. I’m not able to edit the SEO on the backend.

Screenshot is attached (and linked below) to show the issue.

I have deactivated plugins…checked my Yoast SEO search appearance settings, etc.

    Any help would be appreciated.

@lastrowmusic We understand that you’ve already tried disabling plugins. Can you please let us know whether the issue still occurs with a default theme such as TwentyTwentyOne and only Yoast SEO active?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

I activated the Health Check/Troubleshooting plugin and used the default TwentyTwentyOne theme with Yoast SEO…still having an issue.

I also tried using a different web broswer (primarily use Google Chrome then tried it on Safari)…still having the same issue as seen in the original screenshot.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

We understand that after enabling troubleshooting mode with the Health Check plugin and only using Yoast SEO as the plugin activated and using a default WP theme, you are still experiencing a blank Yoast SEO meta box.

Are any JavaScript errors appearing in your browser’s console? Would it be possible for you to send a screenshot? You can follow this article for more information — https://yoast.com/help/how-to-find-javascript-errors-with-your-browsers-console/

I am having the same issue.

I have this problem as well. On existing pages there is the information “Seo not available”. I checked all plugins and did Health Check & Troubleshooting but without succes.

Errors appearing in the browser’s console are:
JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 3.3.2
pub..min.js:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()
pub..min.js:1 Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()

Thank you for your support in advance!

@lastrowmusic Thanks for providing the errors. We received similar reports from other users that were being caused by that one of the JavaScript files provided by the Yoast plugin isn’t loading properly and noticed that the only thing in common is that all websites are running the Imperva CDN. We checked on your site and it appears it is using the Imperva CDN (see here).

Therefore, our recommendation would be to clear the Imperva CDN cache and check if the problem resolves. If the problem persists after clearing the cache, we’d kindly ask you to contact Imperva support. They should be able to investigate if there’s any CDN setting that may be cutting off the output of the Yoast JavaScript file.

@ciadre @ann-baldwin-may We are sorry you’re having this issue. Per the forum guidelines, we ask that you please create a separate topic for the issue you are experiencing.

That way it’s easier to track issues and provide assistance on your specific concerns on your specific site. Plus, you will get your own alerts for the issue rather than someone else’s. You may make a new topic here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/wordpress-seo/#new-post.

Sorry, but I do not see anywhere on my site that says I’m running the Imperva CDN (other than the link you sent).

I switched cache plugins (WP Fastest Cache to WP Super Cache) and am still having the same issue.

I talked with my host provider, Bluehost, with no luck either.

    Hello,

We are sorry the issue is still not resolved. Due to its nature, we’ll need to take a look at your setup. However, we are unable to do it here as this is a public forum. So, if you have an active Yoast SEO Premium subscription or if you can consider buying one, we can investigate the issue further directly on your setup privately through email.

However, if you don’t wish to get the Yoast SEO Premium subscription, that’s completely fine. In this case, you’ll need to troubleshoot the issue further on your setup as we are literally out of any clue at this moment without taking a look at the setup. So, someone from the community might step forward as well who has experienced or familiar with the issue.

    Okay…

Hopefully, the next plugin update may resolve the issue as others are also noticing this same issue.

    @lastrowmusic Thanks for your reply.

We have had several reports of this issue from users, but in each case it was due to using the Imperva CDN. You can check your site’s domain in a utility like https://www.cdnplanet.com/tools/cdnfinder/ to confirm that it is using the Imperva CDN (see image here).

If you aren’t sure how to clear the cache of the Imperva CDN we would recommend contacting your hosting provider for additional assistance.

The bug causing the metabox to NOT display has been resolved with this latest update (May 2021).

    Carry On, Yoasters! ??
