• Hi,

I am using the Pique theme for quite some time. I am trying to add a slideshow to my home page. The page url where I am trying to add the slideshow is https://www.contentspotlight.org/our‐esteemed‐services.

After adding the images and updating it I do find that the slideshow is working properly in mobile but disappearing most of the times when I open the url from any laptop/PC. I am forced to add images in a gallery because of this issue but I strictly want to add it as slideshow. Is there any way to fix the problem in laptop/desktop

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi there,

I get a Page Not Found error when I try to visit https://www.contentspotlight.org/our%E2%80%90esteemed%E2%80%90services. Did you delete or change the location of that page?

Pique doesn’t have any slideshow feature built in, nor does it have a featured post slider. Can you provide some more detail on exactly how you’re adding this slideshow?

If you’re adding a slideshow block to the content of the page in the editor, then this is very unlikely to be an issue with the theme.

    Hi,

Please try to access the page through this url https://www.contentspotlight.org/our-esteemed-services/.

As you rightly pointed out, I am adding a slideshow block to the content of the page in the editor. It does work properly or show up sometimes when I logout and access the page. But in most of the cases, it simply disappears and I do not find anything in the page when I try accessing it. This problem is happening for the past few days.

That made me avoid the slideshow option and add them as separate images in the form a gallery. I have currently changed from gallery to slideshow option again to allow you see the problem and check the issue.

Pique does nothing special with the Jetpack Slideshow block, and slideshows work just fine for me on a test site with Pique activated, so I don’t think the theme is the cause. You can confirm by switching your site to the default TwentyTwentyOne theme. Does the issue still occur? If it does, it’s not Pique causing this.

I also don’t think it’s a problem with Jetpack, as then I would have had the same issue on my test site, so it’s most likely another plugin on your site causing this. To determine which one, disable all plugins except Jetpack. If the slideshow starts working, you’ve confirmed it’s a plugin.

To determine which plugin specifically, re-enable your plugins one at a time, until the slideshow breaks again. The last plugin you activated before the slideshow broke, is the plugin that’s causing the issue.
